This society was founded in 1998 to:
- increase understanding of the concept of individual rights in Switzerland;
- promote analysis of social, economic, and political problems in terms of freedom and limited government;
- suggest policies upholding individual rights;
- support new intellectuals who will further develop capitalist theories and practice;
and
- provide ammunition to those who fight against statists of all colours.
In particular, types of society activities have included:
- meetings of members;
- proselytism;
- seeding libraries with pro-capitalist literature;
- letters to editors;
- discussions with guests;
- debates with anti-capitalists;
- linking up with similar groups in Switzerland and other countries;
and
- the publication of pamphlets.
